Another month, another set of miles. This month I’ve managed to clock up more miles than the past two, which is a step in the right direction!
In March I completed 42.9 miles.
That’s twenty more than last month which makes me proud.
But twenty short of my monthly average target of 62, which makes me hide behind my hands a little.
Overall I enjoyed the majority of the miles I completed in March and I recently hit my target of completing a sub 13:00/mi mile which I’m very proud about. It just goes to show that when you put in the miles, stick to your training plan and push yourself you can hit your goals.
My ankle has barely bothered me this month, which I’m putting down to rehabbing it more and being consistent with my rehab exercises. So I’ll be continuing this in April.
I’m currently at 80 miles exactly for the year which is a bit behind my goal to hit 750 in total this year. But with my half marathon training stepping up a gear in April I’m hoping I’ll be banking more miles and soon catch up on my goal. Looking at my training plan I should hit over 100 miles in April so I just need to stick to the plan.
So my goals for April include;
- Hitting a sub 13:00/mi pace for one mile on 70% of my runs.
- Continue with daily rehab exercises
- Cross train at least once a week
