Chocolate again! This time it’s packed full of protein and the chocolates are home made. I found this recipe for Peanut Butter Protein Chocolates on Blonde Health’s instagram and it couldn’t be easier!
I was essentially searching around for recipes which used chocolate whey protein as I had a huge bag of My Protein Impact Whey Protein* to use and as much as I enjoy protein shakes I also love to bake and create with protein powders. It’s a great way to make previously unhealthy treats a little better for you.
To make these Peanut Butter Protein Chocolates all you need is; 100g dark chocolate 1 tbsp of melted coconut oil, 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein and organic peanut butter.
Mix together 50g of melted chocolate and coconut oil, then add half a scoop of chocolate whey protein. Pour this mixture into the bottom of an ice-cube tray – just a thin layer will do. Freeze for 30 minutes. Once set pop a teeny bit of peanut butter in each mould and pour over another chocolate/ coconut oil/ protein powder mix (the same ingredients and measure as the first time). Put them back in the freezer until they are set and enjoy!
You could make a variety of different fillings, I also made a white chocolate filling to keep Matt happy as he’s one of those strange people who don’t like peanut butter!
