There is nothing I love shopping for more than workout clothes. Cute, colourful workout clothes always make me feel good. The summer months were made for colourful, high performance workout clothes! Even when I’m tired, if I have new workout clothes I’m always more motivated to head out for a run in the sun. I think it all stems to body confidence; if I think I look good then I’m more likely to workout – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!
I recently added to my summer workout wardrobe with some Nike workout kit from SportsShoes.com. Nike is definitely one of my favourite brands – mainly because I love the DriFit technology used in their running tights, but also because they make very colourful and eye-catching kit which is comfortable and high performing.
After running nearly 200 miles in my last pair of trainers, it was time to invest in the next pair. Obviously choosing trainers that look great is a priority, however I also like to balance this with trainers that will work well with my training and feet. SportShoes.com very handily indicate on their website which shoes are ideal for which runners; depending on whether you prefer cushioning or support.
I chose the Nike Lunaracer 3 Women’s Racing Shoes* because they are cushioned so work well for my heavy footing, however they are ultra lightweight so it doesn’t feel like I’m running with bricks strapped to my feet. The Flywire construction of the trainer help keep the trainer light but also offers fantastic support. They are a little tight fitting – but they fit like a glove! I’ve given them a few runs now and am in love with how light and supportive they are. There’s no complaints yet! It was a tough decision on which colour to go for as there are a selection available including pink and orange ones – so lover of a bright trainer – these are for you!
I mentioned above that I am in love with Nike’s Dri-Fit running tights – so much so that I have about 4 different pairs. Dri-Fit technology wick away sweat and help keep you dry and comfortable while working out. However they are all either black or navy blue. So to make the most of the last few weeks of summer I decided to be daring and ordered a little out of my comfort zone! Yes they are technically still navy blue – but come on they are definitely fun!
I ordered the Nike Legend 2.0 Women’s Capri Running Tights* because of the pattern. On the website they looked fab. When I opened them up I was a little unsure as they reminded me of pyjama bottoms, however after putting them on all doubts fell aside. I love them! I actually think the ombre effect of them is very flattering, as the dark area helps slim down my bum! They are tight fit, but not restricting so. They offer support but a free range of movement and the mid-rise and wider waistband help ensure they stay up while working out and don’t slip down your bum while running.
Nike Lunaracer 3 (£59.99) and Nike Legend 2.0 Running Tights (£19.99) are both available at SportShoes.com.
Those trainers are bloody amazing, nothing like nice sportswear and trainers to motivate you, seriously I have to have pretty things for workouts xxx
