Oooey, gooey chocolaty flapjack – what’s not to love! Especially when it’s packed full of protein!
I love baking, however baking does not love my waistline, so whenever I come across a healthy baking recipe I love to give it a try to see if it can actually taste as good as the non-healthy version.
I found this Healthy Chocolate & Peanut Protein Flapjack recipe on Blonde Health’s instagram and knew I had to give it a try and make the most of my My Protein Chocolate Whey Protein*. I made a few changes to the recipe to reflect what was in my kitchen cupboards.
Simply take 1 1/2 cups of oats, 3/4 cup of milk, 1/2 peanut butter and 2-3 scoops of whey protein. I recommend My Protein Chocolate Whey – affordable, tasty and with no nasty hidden ingredients. Mix all your ingredients together fully, pour into a tray and place in the fridge or freezer until set.
Now I’m not going to lie to you and say that this healthy flapjack is as good as your mums, nans or local cafes’ syrup and calorie laden flapjack – because it’s not. But it is gooey, it is sweet, it is chocolaty, it is peanuty and it is healthier for you! So if you need a sweet fix and don’t want to fall off the wagon – then this is the flapjack for you!
Packed full of protein it is also a great snack to enjoy after a workout!
